What if we flood parts of the Netherlands that are below sea level? Not accidentally, but on purpose. What if, instead of resisting nature, we choose to coexist with it? This fundamental shift in perspective leads to the idea of purposefully flooding parts of the Netherlands that are below sea level, thereby giving rise to a more adaptive and resilient landscape.

So, what is now known as the Randstad will become the Deltastad. A cluster of archipelagos interwoven with urban centers. All seamlessly connected with each other by an extensive rail and bus network. This future mobility system serves as the lifeblood of this new-age metropolis, facilitating fluid movement.

The heart of this network comprises of rapid and circle lines consisting of rail and water transport. Together they create a web of transportation, connecting each urban center. At a local level, automated buses tailored to specific neighbourhoods contribute to the accessibility and convenience of intra-neighbourhood travel. Transit hubs act as pivotal points, linking the various modes of transportation and ensuring movement in the city.
