Far away from home, in a different county presented as a representative of their specie observed and documented by paying visitors. Staring at animals hardly moving, or not even visible enclosed in their new artificial habitat. Flamingo Island has the aim to up the zoo. Flamingo Island blurs boundaries between zoo and city and between animal and visitor.
