A cube module with three windows is stacked into each other three times in different scales. The overlaying windows and walls create a filtration towards the inside of the installation. Each Layer is representing a stage in the history of human society.


The nature represented by clouds and trees.

The primeval stage of humanity represented by linen and wood.

The civilized stage of humanity represented brick and stone.

The industrial stage of humanity representing metal and concrete.

The more you move inside the more thresholds are between you and nature. The more you move inside of the installation the stronger the contrast to the exterior gets. The filtration through the layers creates tension between those contrasts.

A person can freely roam between these spaces. While doing that the installation should evoke questions like


Where are we currently as a society?

Where are we going in a possible future?

How did our perception change over time?

How will the future change our perceptions?

When is the time to move from our current state to an earlier state?
